7th Annual MEDRC Workshop: Clinical Needs & Systems Solutions
Advancements in Medical Devices leveraging electronic miniaturization, information technology, and advanced manufacturing are radically improving diagnostics and treatment with clinician collaboration across these disciplines.
Over the past 5 years the MIT Medical Electronic Device Realization Center (MEDRC) has been convening workshops with physicians, healthcare professionals, engineers, and researchers in nanotechnology, electronics, medical devices, and systems in a two-day interactive workshop. This year we are adding to the workshop organization the IEEE Life Sciences and IEEE SSCS (Boston Chapter) in order to extend the reach of this exciting event.
The theme of the 2015 workshop explores the intersection and blending of the clinical vs. consumer, or health vs. wellness, applications of medical electronic devices. Speaker panels will follow the presentation sessions in order to promote increased discussion with the audience. We will include with our rapid-fire poster overview session highlighting much of the work in the MEDRC and related areas.
